Special programming and discounted admission will be offered at each of the following participating sites. All participating sites will be open from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM. \nGullah Museum:  Stop by the Gullah Museum of Georgetown to learn about the rich history and culture of the Gullah Geechee people and how they shaped America from the Colonial period to today. The museum will offer free activities for children\, such as Gullah doll-making\, a scavenger hunt\, coloring sheets\, and games. There will be a scavenger hunt\, coloring\, etc. for children. The Discovery tour will be offered at 10 am and again at 11 am. This 2-hour tour of the property is done via a 12-person van. Cost is $30.00. Participants will ride down Old Kings Highway (Francis Marion)\, visit Friendfield African American Village\, learning about rice growing in the very early years of our country\, and the role enslaved Africans played. Hobcaw will also be offering a 3-hour “Revolutionary” Explore Tour for $40.00 beginning at 1:30 pm-4:30 pm. The tour includes going out to the salt marsh at Oyster Landing\, discussing Native American presence on the property\, and looking across to North Island\, where Lafayette landed. The Carolina Kids Day starts at 10:00 a.m. Activities for children of all ages will include the unveiling of Foxes on Front scavenger hunt\, historical tours\, learning to write with quill pens\, indigo blue painting\, detective games\, book signing\, and much more.
