Nortira’s Grocery

The kitchen inside Nortira’s Grocery has been serving up delicious food for many years, including what some say is Georgetown’s best gizzard and livers platter. There’s a lot more on the menu, though – everything from burgers, wings, shrimp, club sandwiches, Cajun chicken sandwiches and more, all served up with a heaping portion of fries. And for those looking for real Southern food, there’s the fish and grits served with toast (you can substitute home fried potatoes for the grits, if you want.) Omelettes are a specialty, too, including one called “The Kitchen Sink,” because, as the menu says, it’s “using everything we have” (that is, onions, peppers, ham, sausage, bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes, smoked sausage, Swiss cheese and American cheese).
