SUMMARY:79th Annual Tour of Historic Plantations & Homes – Prince George Winyah Church
DESCRIPTION:Prince George Winyah Church is celebrating its 79th Annual Tour of Historic Plantations & Homes in Georgetown\, South Carolina\, set for March 27 and 28\, 2026. The Tours are always popular with decorators\, Southern history buffs\, gardeners\, and visitors to South Carolina’s coast. \nGeorgetown\, South Carolina\, founded in 1729\, was for two centuries one of the wealthiest areas in both the Colonial era\, then in the young United States. The growing of indigo in Colonial America\, then rice in the 19th century created an elite society which left behind beautiful dwellings\, gardens and public buildings\, many of which are open to our visitors only during our tours. \nWe invite you to visit our website and follow along with us on Facebook for more tour news and information on admission! Be sure to check out Friday night’s Oyster Roast\, scrumptious Bake Sale and much-talked-about Art Show and sale where you can take home gorgeous works of art at incredible prices! We hope to see you there.
